How do I forward calls from my number to another number or cell phone number temporarily?

If you are not able to get to work and are working from home or on the road, you may want to temporarily forward your phone number to your cell phone or to another number at your company. This is very easy to do.

*** You must be the Admin on your account to do this. If you are not Admin, contact your Admin and ask them to do it. ***

*** We can also set up 2 permanent feature codes for you that you can use to 1) forward calls to another number 2) un-forward your calls, so that you can just dial your phone number and put in one of the two feature codes. Just call or email support. ***

Here are the steps to forward your calls in the control panel:

First login to your control panel at:

Go to Features=>Numbers


Find the Number and click on it

Scroll down the page to ‘Temporary Override’ under “Route calls to:”.

Change Destination from ‘Default Destination’ to ‘Specific Number’

Below that input the number you want to forward to without any dashes or spaces and including the area code.

Click ‘Save’

Be sure and test this once you have saved it to be sure it is working.

To Switch it Back to Normal:

Also, be sure and TURN IT OFF when you are back in the office so it will go back to ringing your office phone. To turn it off go through the same steps but the last step would be to change “Temporary Override” back to ‘Default Destination’ and then click Save.
