New Google research shows that local searches lead 50% of mobile users to visit stores. And Google says these people are ready to buy once they are in a store, as 18 percent of local searches lead to sales, compared to 7 percent for non-local searches. Further, what Google found was that four out of five people surveyed used search engines to conduct local searches. So what does that mean for small businesses? Well, local searches are what customers are doing to find local businesses!
Gone are the days when consumers turned to the Yellow Pages to find local businesses. The new way to advertise your business locally is through what is called an ‘online directory’. There are quite a few of these out there, but, the good news is, getting listed is really quite simple. Just visit the directories below and add or claim your business.
Each time you add your business to another online directory you are making your business available for the multitude of online searches that happen daily. So it is important to make sure that your business is listed in every possible directory.
